Guys and gals,
I am new to this forum. please forgive me if this question has been dealt with a lot. I have recently purchased a 629 "No Dash" in 8 3/8 barrel. I am looking to see what its value is to possibly sell it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. the serial number starts N83 _ _ _ _. It has a pinned barrel with recesses chambers.

thanks in advance for any help

Welcome to the forum. If it’s a nice gun with its original grips, I would say you could realistically ask 1400/1500.00 dollars for the gun and you would sell it. I think that would be fair for the buyer and seller. About any pre lock 629 without a box will bring 1000/1100 dollars , your gun should bring a 25/30% premium due to the fact it’s pinned and recessed. I’m not looking to buy your gun, I’m just trying to give you a realistic expectation. The classified section on this forum is a good place to sell your gun. If you are looking to sell the gun I would suggest you give the forum members a shot at it first in the classifieds out of good faith. But get other opinions on here of its value before you offer the item sale. Posting good clear pictures of the gun will get you a much more accurate estimate on its value. I wish you the best of luck.

It’s only worth $350. Yes put it in classifieds here on the forum. Seriously I think $1100-$1200 would be realistic. But I might be low

I bid $1159 on Gunbroker for mine last year and won it. I was the only bidder.
$1320 with Taxes and fees. It was 629 ND 8 3/8” with no box or papers.

I paid $1350 on GI for a 4” no box

$1131 winning bid on Gunbroker for a 6” with Box, papers, presentation case is great shape except flocking gone and the original shipping container. $1285 with taxes and fees.

All three are No dash.

Hope these numbers help.

This 629 ND, serial N870xxx, was acquired in December 2023 at the Phoenix Crossroads gunshow from a private seller for $950. I replaced the Pachmayr presentation rubber grips with a set of refurbished silver washer football targets from the wood pile, value $125. So, $1,075 all in.

PS - If I decide to sell it, would I ask here if anyone is interested or put it on the "classified" section of this forum. I don't want to violate of protocols of rules.

I bought a 8 3/8 and a 6" and a 4" 629 no dash. They were only made a couple years. Mine are mint and all had over 30 bidders with box and tools. $1500 to $2000. Lost out on a couple 4" that sold for $2200 I actually paid the most for the 8 3/8 in presentation case unfired. I believe they were the least produced. Presentation case, tools, papers, and unfired mint cndition doubles the price.
