Not my taste at all, depends on your disposable income, and who your buddies are. In the 70, 80, and 90s, an engraved gun might be a J Frame or a 1911, but it was tastefully done and only on select parts of the gun.That truly is a bridge too far for me, or anybody else with any level of taste at all.
Engraving and scrimshaw actually were desirable to many, the BBQ gun concept. Custom grips were personal and often with your initials.
That said, other than drug cartel guys, I am not sure where their market is. "A bridge to far" is an ample response for me too.
