Lawman Leather
I seen in American Handgunner a ad for Lawman Leather. Does anyone have a new production holster from them and if so what are your thoughts on them. Thinking of buying one so let me know whats up. Thanks

I have had one on order since May and it is due in any day now. This topic started some disagreements back in January when Jerry Ardolino posted some info here and was criticized for condemning the Blocker holster that appeared over a year after someone contacted him about making the Dirty Harry. I have heard nothing but praise for the holster, that's why I decided on the Lawman over the Blocker. Plus, the Blocker was almost $300 shipped. I paid $217 shipped for mine. They are a little bit more now and the turn around time is probably 5 months or so now. I will post a picture when I get it.

I'll post some when it gets here. I was also thinking about getting a 4 inch one as well as the 6.

Sorry no pics, but they are very comfortable, fitting smoothly, but not too snugly. The "adjustability" straps never came into play (fortunately) but strapping one on (6 1/2" barrel) felt almost custom made. I recommend this product.

I don't have a dog in this fight but this thread has been in another section of the forum for a while. If it's not the same company disregard my post.

Definately. A good friend who I STUPIDLY recommended them to still has not recieved his after several months.
Be wary of ANY holster maker that requires and accepts payment in full before the holster is built. So many of them spend your money and have to rely on the next guys money to buy material for YOUR holster.
Time to write a letter to some of those gun rags.

I ordered a holster from these guys around april/may of 2010..well i received the holster 4 months latter..ok fine. but what do you know..no speed loader pouch as i had ordered. So i called and was told we will send you a free one plus the one you ordered..sweet. Didn't happen. So I called back and got "well the leather we got in was wrong/poor quality" and said it would be a few more weeks. Reasonable enough I suppose. Well now its been five months and when I try to call the phone numbers on their website they are disconnected. Luckily I did get my holster but they took me for 40 dollars for the speed loader pouch. Don't buy anything from these guys. They are full of excuses and are pathedic in their business practices.

Well, to all of you who have had such a bad experience with Jerry, Lawman Leather, or Wild Guns Leather, I have not!
I first bought an original Dirty Harry holster back in the early '80's. It was fantastic.
In March of this year I had need for a shoulder rig and started searching the web when I recalled the name of the company that made my Dirty Harry rig all those years ago & saw on their website the S.T.U.. I called them about placing an order and was told they could no longer take orders due to contract issues with the license holder Jerry Ardolino and to contact him at Wild Guns Leather - which I did.
I placed an order and a week later called to get an e.t.a.. I was devistated when told it would late June or so for delivery.
Every call to Jerry resulted in a wonderful conversation and status updates. He NEVER gave me a firm delivery date until he actually could deliver.
I am now the proud owner of a Wild Guns Leather S.T.U. rig that fits me and the specified weapon perfectly. Yes - it was a very, very long wait, but no longer than promised. And by promised I mean no longer than the firm ship date I was given.
