Default S&W Store: much to be desired

For some reason I have had difficulty placing orders through the S&W website. I get some esoteric error code about only my zip code was accepted. So anyway, March 8 I finally am able to place an order for a holster for my Governor. Yesterday I decide to call them to find out what is taking so long. The call rep tells me that it is out of stock and he has no way of telling me when my order will be filled. My mood elevator hits bottom. So I whip out my iPhone and am able to order the same holster from DeSantis online. Ordered Thursday and it will be delivered Monday. So I call S&W back and cancel the order.
On a slightly different note, Monday of this week I ordered holsters from DeSantis for my 1911 and 92FS. They are being delivered today! I guess the moral to my story is to try to buy from DeSantis first. I don't get the S&W logo on the holster from DeSantis but at least I get the holster.

Be sure you find out if the order and Billing gets cancelled or you might get the holster is a couple months and not want it.

A couple months!!!! I'm still waiting on an order I placed last July for in stock items. I had good transactions up until about a year ago. Seems to have become the Twilight Zone. I'm expecting Rod Serling to answer the phone on one of these calls.

I had the same issue trying to order full moon clips for my 625 from S&W. They told me all the full moon clips in stock were allotted for 625s and Governors being produced. I ended up ordering from an online source.
