WOW! That's some holster, just how long a barrel was it made for?
Nice example of the craft.

It's for a 12" Colt Single Action. Just like Hugh O'Brian wear' on his right side in the "Wyatt Earp" TV show on the Western Channel. His rig was made by Ojala, too, who also taught him fast draw.

Hopefully you are a really tall guy.
If not you will have a trench following you when wearing that rig.
Nice outfit even so.

No, I'll just buy some platform shoes (Hey. No California jokes!). This thing has two tie downs. One on the bottom in the normal place, but which ties just below my knee (!!), and one right in the middle where I would use it. I reconditioned the entire rig with Leather CPR and it really looks great now and not dried out.

*** AND now you have an excuse to purchase a 12" S.A. Revolver (unless you already have one ?)

Wow, Wyatt if you ever get a bum leg, you can carry a cane in that thing. Interesting piece. Enjoy your leather work (have some) and your postings here and on Colt Forum

I guess when you are trying to clear leather with a 12 inch Colt, if anyone could teach you " fast draw" it would have to be Ojala! I've got the Western Channel, going to watch some Wyatt Earp shows and see how that fast draw is accomplished. I remember watching the show back in the day, but I don't remember a lot about it except for the song ( I can still sing a lot of the old western TV show songs). The Rifleman is on now.

The Buntline rig is all cleaned up now. The leather has been conditioned.
