Years ago I had a Smith 3953. I carried it a lot in a Milt Sparks Summer Special. I gave it to my mechanic in hard times holster and all. I always thought the little 3953 was the best auto pistol Smith ever came out with.
A couple weeks ago I found a very nice one with two extra mags for sale. It was a little high and I didn't need it. I kept thinking about it and even dreamed about it one night. I checked back thinking it would be gone but it was still there. We came to terms and I bought it.
I want an outside the belt pancake holster with no thumb snap on it. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to spring for a Kramer or Milt Sparks as I don't think I will carry this gun a lot but want to have something. I'm thinking about maybe a JAK slide.
Will any holster for a 3913 fit a 3953? I am thinking yes.
I have a Milt Sparks Summer Special and a few other IWB choices. For OWB, I recommend these Lobo Leather creations. They will fit any of the 3.5" 39xx series pistols including the LS and NL.
The Safariland model 27 holster with the J-hook is the the best in the waistband holster I have found in 37 years of carring in the waist band. It's reinforced for reholstering. Never moves and pulls the gun in tight. I carry a 3914 DAO in mine. The size for the Glocks are also for the 3953. The best is it is only about $35.00. They are on EBay all the time. You would have in two or three days.
