I posted this on some other forums, no answer yet. Hoping someone here might know the type of holster Jack Webb carried his Smith & Wesson Model 10 snub revolver in during the late 60's run of 'Dragnet'. Thanks!

Check the name of the Prop House/Supplier on the credits.
They would likely know and MIGHT sell you one.

On the second version of Dragnet, both Jack Webb (Sgt. Joe Friday) and Harry Morgan (Officer Bill Gannon) carried their revolvers in the Lewis Police Special. The Sgt. Friday character used a 2 inch K frame, while the Gannon character used a 4 inch Combat Masterpiece.

There is a new listing on ebay for the Lewis holster you are looking for. It will work with the snub nosed Model 10. I have one just like it. I think Friday's was a clip-on and this one is belt through, but it is cross draw.

It's great that you know your Lewises from your Bucheimers :-) The most obvious difference as you already know is that the former's spring stops at the face of the cylinder, and the latter at the back of the cylinder. Which I imagine is the more secure method.
