Default "BASKET CASE" by OLD GRINGO

The Old Gringo says each of his holsters is one of a kind. I got
this one from him for my S&W Model 19. Ghost Magnum's post
looking for ideas combining law enforcement with old west made
me think of this rig. The belt is an inexpensive import from South
of the border.
Did you ever wonder where the name "Gringo" came from?
Back in 1846 The United States declared war on Mexico. General
Winfield Scott leading our troops invaded Vera Cruz. After the
Mexicans surrendered our troops marched out of Vera Cruz.
They sang as they marched: "Oh green grows the rashes,
Oh green grows the rashes. The sweetest hours I ever spent,
were spent among the lasses." From that day on we were known
as "Gringos". The troops went on to defeat Santa Ana's army
at Cerro Gordo Pass. Two of our young captains in that battle
were Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant.

Basket case is right....it looks like a serious case of ADD on the holster maker's behalf?

Its is a rig! Hell, I been insulted so many times over the years. When you put down "Basket Case," on my thread, I thought you was making fun of me, LMAO!
That looks cool. I like it.

Collects apparently there are many stories about where the word Gringo
came from. One does say we had a regiment of soldiers who wore green
coats. The Mexicans would yell "Green Go Home". But I wasn't there so
I don't know which of the many stories is true.
