Model 60 Pocket Carry Question
Didn't have much luck with the aluminum J frame hammer and trigger studs, sooo, I got a Model 60 SS in 357. which of course is a little heavier than the 642. Does anybody pocket carry the 60 and if so what holster would you recommend?? I want to pocket carry (deep pockets of course) if possible...... THANKS,,,Greg---

Hi-
I switched from a 442 to a 640, pocket carry. I now use a galco leather pocket holster for the 640 (I had been using a nylon uncle mike's for the 442 which worked well) as I found that the heavier gun slipped out of my pocket while sitting if I used a nylon holster.

Several here recommend the Mika pocket holster. When ordering you can let him know what gun you intend to carry. It will take a pretty big pocket for a J Magnum model 60 plus the holster but you know that.

I'm not sure of the weight of the Model 60 off the top of my head, but I do know the Ruger 2.25" Sp101 weighs 26 ounces MT. I pocket carry my SP101 in a Mika quite often. It carries well for ME, but I do wear deep pocket jeans with a 5-Stitch Instructor Belt & Perry Suspenders. FWIW, I carried a Model 38-0 or a Colt Agent/Cobra for years in a pocket holster. Finally went to heavier pocket rocket because I shoot it often & always feared the dreaded frame crack. The heavier pistol fits ME better, YMMV .... ;o)

The holsters from Bob Mika and Milt Sparks are my go tos for all J frame pocket carry. I find myself using the Milt Sparks more.
