Default Fancy gun for fancy holster

Just for fun, the table holder next to me had a .38 M&P from the 20’s with a real fancy Mexican silver and gold grips on the nickel revolver. I put it in my fancy Heiser # 753 buscadero and “voila” it looks pretty good. We haven’t done the deal yet but I’m thinking about it. Bill

Hi Bill,
That rig is screaming for engraved blued steel and mellow old ivory.

Tiffany grips... maybe, but those Mexican jobs always look cheap to me.

Now you're talking... Nice!!!

That looks much better than the Mexican grips.

I'm sure you already got boots and a hat. Now all you need are some fancy chaps. I saw these the other day while I was trying to research a Rhodes holster (Kansas City, MO) that I got from Doug a while back.

I think the gun and grips were made for the holster and belt. If I had a set of grips like that for a -2 N frame I would throw the stag grips in the trash can. Larry

I like the single action better in that rig. And the fact that the single action fits tells me the holster was probably made specifically for a Colt SAA. If it has been made for a double action, a SAA most likely wouldn't fit due to the ejector rod housing.

Looks like they were made to go together!

That fancy revolver begs for a fancy rig to complement it. If it were in a plain holster, well, not peanut butter and jelly.
