If the inked .357 Mag. 6" was done by the maker, and I think it probably was, there's a good case to make for this being a post WW II holster. The 457 FBI model was introduced in the 1930's and was cataloged up into the 1960's. 6" .357 Magnum S&W revolvers were more common after WW II although anything is possible. 457 indicates plain finish, 557 as with your holster indicates basketweave and 757 indicates floral carved.
