Default Does anyone have any idea of lead/delivery times from El Paso Saddlery?

I placed an order that was confirmed, by them, February 27, 2018, my credit card was billed the following day. So far I’ve had no other contact from them. They may make great leather gear, but I’m not impressed with their customer contact follow up.

Thanks all.

Fred,

I have been to El Paso Saddlery and taken their tour. If they have a product on the shelf, it ships almost immediately. If the product is not in stock it may take 6-8 weeks to produce based on their current work load.

I had heard that they were slow with emails and the phone, but I haven't had that experience myself.

If you need me to drop by there and voice your concerns in person, I may be able to make something happen. We were working towards getting a Smith & Wesson forum discount, but we never made real good progress there.

Overall, their shop is small and very much like a family affair. They have good products at fair prices.

Let me know if you need any help getting things sorted out.

Thanks for the offer, but six weeks is not out of line for a custom quality product. I was just wondering as much as anything else, at this point.

We've got some great custom gun leather makers right here in NC.

Some stock not sold is sold to dealers who sell at gun shows. I've bought a few that way.

Otherwise, I think you'll receive your holster by this time next year. I'm only half kidding...

EPS and Tyler T-Grip are notoriously slow in filling orders.

Glad to here you will have your stuff soon. I have ordered a good bit from them. I usually wait until they have a sale (15-20% off) which is a few times per year. Of course, by doing this, the wait is longer because they get swamped with orders when a sale is offered. Since they are not a humongous company, I guess they don't want to pay someone just to answer the phone all day. And if they themselves are answering the phone, they are not making holsters. By getting on their mailing list, they inform you when a sale is taking place.

What did you order?
