I use a Bianchi X15 for 6 and 6 1/2 in. and AE Nelson Untouchable for 3 1/2 and 4 in. for shoulder holsters. For belt holsters that I use on my pants belt I have three ElPaso Threepersons for 3, 3 1/2 and 4 in. I have one Lobo Threepersons for a 6 1/2 in. Larry

In my area we can hunt deer with a Shotgun, a muzzle loading rifle or with a pistol or revolver of certain cartridges. My S&W .44 Magnum Classic Hunter Model 29-3 is usually on my hip in this Lawrence 130 2 6 1/2 Holster on my NRA Cartridge belt while I am wandering in the woods looking for whitetail deer.

I don’t carry an N frame very often but if I did here are a few possibilities.
Model 58 in a Heiser model 459 holster.
Model 29 in a Berns-Martin Speed Holster.
Same revolver in a Myres Mexico holster.
5” model 27-2 with a Heiser holster.
6 1/2” model 27-2 with a Myres holster.
Regards,
turnerriver

Here is my working around the farm rig....shown with a somewhat infamous model 58
Knives are - Old Hikory, Schrade Sharpfinger, and Schrade Buzzsaw Trapper.
Plastic ammo wallet with Remington 210gr JSP
And yes, there is dental floss threaded through the lanyard hole on the Sharpfinger - it is how I attach hunting tags to animals. Or if I am bored, I floss

You don't mention the brand of holster. It looks like a Safariland. Is it? If not...?

Sorry for the flash of skin but, this is how I pack my 4" M29 when I'm in the mood to carry some extra horsepower. This picture was actually taken on election day last year.

It is a Safariland. I bought it here on the forum a number of years ago. It is my go-to ranch work rig.

Looks like a Safariland model 25. I have one for the model 29 and one for the 4" K frames. Great holster - doubled as a duty holster for a while as well.

I liked this Black Smith & Wesson Holster model 04 size 24 with retainer that you opened with the bottom of your hand while reaching for the grip rather than your thumb. My chopped 38/44 outdoorsman looks neat in it.
Then what better way to carry a 3 3/4" N Frame S&W than in an original Berns Martin.
This Black unmarked holster works for my 38/44 heavy Duty 5" N Frame.
The holster has S&W logo and B L W 624 but the S&W Revolver is a model 29-3.
I have always liked the Bianchi model 5B. This one is holding a model 57 4" 41 Mag.
This well used Bianchi 5B basket weave N Frame holster is great for this well used Pre-27.

Just bought this today on clearance from Simply Rugged Holsters, with a 25% off coupon, for my 629-1 that just got back from re-finishing in Cerakote. I've a older Bianchi River Belt that should be a pretty good match.

I selected an EPS rig for my 629-5, 4 inch. It is very comfortable when walking, sitting in a ladder stand or a chair in the shooting house.

This is how I carry an N frame (K and J also)
The Roy Baker Pancake holster makes a 6 inch N frame disappear and distributes the weight so its hardly noticeable.

Wasn't the J.I.T. made by Don Hume?

Nice rig . Please elaborate on the "election day" significance.

Classic American made Bianchi Cyclone is the best carry I've had for a 3" 629-1. Can be used strong side or cross-carry and very well made.

My 6" 28-2 is the only N frame I've ever carried and I only carried it in this Safariland Holster when I used it to hunt rabbits.

Back in the late 1960s My friend who was a career Coast Guard NCO was told that his next duty assignment would be 13 month tour in Viet Nam with the brown water Navy. Not having a liking for the 1911a1 he wanted an alternative handgun. He found a used Model 25 1955 .45ACP revolver and had it gone over by Smith & Wesson and bought a BIANCHI Model 10 holster. He told me that it served him well but would not give me any details. He was very proud that he served in Viet Nam. After he retired from the Coast Guard He sold me the revolver and holster.

I usually carry my N frames in a Galco chest or shoulder rig, but have a Combat Master pancake that sees some use.

Everyone has probably seen this one. My Ashman interpretation of a Brill holster and my 22-4.
