AR-15 Magazine Pouches Needed
I am not sure what the right forum is to ask this question. Mods please move if a different forum is better.
I am interested in taking a Defensive Carbine class for which I will use a AR-15. At least two magazine pouches are recommended. I am no longer a LEO or military so I do not have much interest in a chest rig. I am looking for recommendations for pouches that fit on the belt. I have my old duty belt which I have thought about repurposing for use in the class.
Any suggestions and experiences taking a Carbine class is appreciated.

You should also look at Kytex Shooting Gear. I've used Brian's pistol pouches for over 15 years, worn my 1911 pouches almost every day with a couple of high volume pistol classes thrown in. I have his pouches for M1a, FN FAL and CZ Scorpion. His pouches are a simple one piece design, but they work. His pouches are easy to slip on but they will not come off until you want them to. A big plus is that his pouches are light weight and I assume you are also going to be carrying a pistol with additional pistol mag pouches so the weight on your belt is going to add up, especially at the end of the day. Great folks to deal with and they ship quickly.

Another vote for Blade Tech. I have the double and a couple of singles. I prefer 2 singles side-by-side instead of the double. The double sticks of a tad too far and catches on stuff when you're moving around.
If you do decide you need/want a chest rig, I'm getting rid of this Condor rig (pig sticker & mags not included):

I've got several old school ALICE type mag pouches that hold 3 mags.
If those would work you're welcome to one all I need would be a address to send it to. Sorry I don't have any spare grenades' for the side pouches..

I have been using HSGI Taco mag pouches recently and I like them.
One big advantage to me is that I can use the same pouches for AR15, AK, and FAL magazines.
They are not inexpensive, but are well made and accept a wide range of magazines. They come in MOLLE and Belt attachment versions.
