I have come to a time in my collecting world where I am more focused on accessorizing what I own rather than accumulating more guns. When it comes to holsters, I still look for vintage Bianchi holsters, given my long-term experience with their products and I always felt they were the best of the factory holsters back in the 70s and 80s.

I routinely search the auction sites and have found a few good deals, but I also see holsters from "Holster Monster", selling a line called "Masters Brand", as well as a company called Azula, who advertises on Bladeforums.

When I look at close-up photographs of the details of holsters from these companies, they look quite good with excellent edge finishing and straight stitching. I am particularly looking at their cross draw holsters, mostly for the 4 inch K, L and N frame.

Has anyone here purchased one of these holsters? They appear to be quite well done for the asking price, and that asking price is comparable to some of the vintage Bianchi holsters.

Opinions?

Thank you.

I've got an Azula holster for a 3" K Frame. It is ok for its price range. I too prefer vintage Bianchi rigs and the Azula is much lower in quality.

I don't have a cross draw from Azula, but I decided to go back to leather after a few years using a Sticky Holster. I am in my second month using an Azula IWB with the metal belt clip on the outside. I use it for my 2" model 10. Very pleased with it....everything you need and nothing you don't.

I have two azulas, and find them to be very good quality for the cost. Retention is good and fit/finish are excellent.

When i bought the one for my k-frame a man called me from NC to ensure i got the right size, and shipped it that day. Good stuff!

Thank you for the comments.

Does anyone know of a list posted here in this forum that lists members who make holsters? If I am going to spend money on a holster, I might as well spend it with someone here.

I’m an El Paso Saddlery fan myself! I do like American made Bianchi holsters too!

I have bought several Masters holsters from Holster Monster and they have been quite good. I wear one every day. Good value. I recently had a holster made by El Paso Saddlery and was quite disappointed with it. My Masters brand holsters are better made than it was.

I have this model for my DS. Works well for hip IWB. If you only carry appendix style you might opt for one without the stabilizing wing since the extra real estate is unnecessary.
