Default A DOG EAR BY DOC BARRANTI

I got a message from Doc Barranti today. He thinks of me as the
"dog ear" guy. Maybe I should change from crazy to dog ear?
Doc had found a picture of an old Texas Ranger carrying his 1911
.45 ACP in a "dog ear" holster, so Doc got busy and replicated it.
He sent me a picture of it and it is beautiful. Hand carved, and of
course with the "dog ear". I wanted to post the photo that he
sent to me, but the technical aspects of that are above my pay
grade. Perhaps we could beg, or plead if necessary, for Doc to
post the photo in this thread? I sure hope he can.

I figured ol’ Phil would appreciate the shuck I built, and he asked if I would post it here.

The photo I noticed the holster on is a pic of Texas Ranger Glenn Elliot, from Texas Monthly magazine. A Classic image of a classic Ranger, and of course a classic shuck! This one will be added to our Barranti-Myres® Line of gunleather.

I used to think this old Heiser was the most beautiful holster I had ever
seen, but now, thanks to Doc Barranti, I just might have to change my
mind.

If we’re going to show off nice 1911 holsters …

Planning on getting a Barranti holster, they are beautiful.
