Went to the Kingsport, Tennessee Gun Show at the Shriner's Temple today. This is the second time me and my Wife have attended this show, it is small but fun, lots of gun trading going on....
When the show opened, my Wife and I split up, me one way, her the other. After we had made a few passes, we met up to see what the other had found.
Me, a Redhead brand leather shoulder holster for a 1911. Her, an El Paso Saddlery "1930 Austin" to fit a Colt Diamondback, and a set of aftermarket grips to fit a Diamondback, with Colt medallions.
The holster and grips, a gift for me!
Now, if you think your wife isn't listening when you tell her you need a holster and grips for your Diamondback, let me tell you, she is! I mentioned in passing that my .38 Special Diamondback was looking weak with a set of rubber Pachmyers, and it had no holster. Her response, a non-committal "Thats nice, Dear",,,,, Didn't seem like she was listening, but she was.
Pic of the holster and grips:
Before pic of the .38 Diamondback with the rubber Pachmyers, other guns are a .22 Diamondback and Colt Cobra:
A pic of both Diamondbacks with El Paso Saddlery rigs, the .22 in a #2 Thumbreak:
The grips I believe are Thai made aftermarkets. Look like tropical hardwood, and the Colt medallions look like what is being sold with the Thai Ebay vendor "Jaruwn.p". They look nice and fit good, a definate upgrade from rubber grips.
I jokingly tell my Wife when I retire in a few months, I'm going to take up open carry here in my town, I'll be "That Guy" who walks around town with a Colt Diamondback in an El Paso Saddlery holster, showing up all the open carry guys around here who carry a Heritage Rough Rider .22 in a nylon holster!
