Holster Storage
I’ve found my holster collection has grown to a quantity that leads to difficulty in storing all of them safely and and not damaging them with scuffs or dings etc. Some of my leather isn’t cheap, Milt Sparks is one of my favorite holster makers
Currently I have some holsters on belts hanging up in my closet. Others are sitting in a tote. I’m probably up to about 40-50. Please share your ideas when the time permits! Pictures help too. Thanks

Just a big tote full of the stuff I don't use on a regular basis. It just sits there so no way to damage holsters ...... leather on leather.
Couple of shoe boxes in the closet with those I use "sometime" but not for EDC..............
Bang Bang Gun Leather are currently meeting most of my OWB carry with his Rhodesian holster.
I use Milt Sparks IWB; Summer Specials and Executive Companions for my primary carry; 3913,Shorty-9,Beretta 92 Compact, and 3" K-frames.

I collect and accumulate holsters too. I have them from Heiser, Myres, Lawrence, Bianchi, Sparks, Null, Del Fatti, El Paso Saddlery, etc..
I have several over-door hanging shoe holders in my secured gun room and a four big plastic tubs with lids in my reloading area. I’ll post some photos of the shoe holders after I feed the Mrs. lunch. I wish I had room for more of them!
———————————-
Edit to add:
Here are the shoe holders I was talking about. They still allow me to open the bi-fold doors and they allow air circulation, so the holsters don’t develop mold. I’ve also included a photo of the rod I put up for slings storage.

That's an impressive storage display, Chad.
I don't have anywhere near enough holsters to worry about the storage damaging them, but if scuffs and dings are a concern, how about slip 'em into some old or cheap sweat socks?

I have about 150 and store them on peg board on a wall in a big walk-in
closet (with a lock on the door). I'm trying to sell about half of them now, in accessories.
I think they should not be packed with others and where they can get some air.

I also use over door shoe rack.
The wire model for holsters and soft see-thru plastic for stocks/grips.

Holsters is one thing I never get rid of simply because you never know when you'll need one in particular and prices only get higher.
What I do when I no longer need a holster, I clean it good, oil it a bit then vacuum seal it until needed again.

Have mine in plastic tubs, separated by revolver and auto and labeled such.
Hunting holsters stay on dedicated belts and rigs, hanging in the closet.

I took the shoe organizer suggestion and snagged one on Amazon last week. Now that I have hung it up, I think I’m going to get another one to hang on the other side of the door since I still have about 10 holsters that couldn’t fit.
Hope everyone is having a good week! Thanks again

I admire y'alls dedication to the hobby and creativity, but if my GF ever sees this thread, I'm going to loose all teasing rights about how many shoes or purses she owns.

Nice!
My organizers came for estate sales and didn’t match. It bothered a little, so I did some searching on Amazon after I posted. I found (2) packs of these for $12 and change. I bought a couple and hung them last night. I do like the clear fronts.

I made leather holsters, belts, and accessories from 1972 until 2015 serving customers in all 50 US states and 33 other countries. I am happy to report that I never required mental health intervention or medications during those years.

We may be a little compulsive, but collecting holsters sure beats Beanie Babies and figurines!
Besides, sticking them in a tub is a waste of beauty and craftsmanship!

For curiosity sake, do the shoe organizers allow the holsters to keep their shape, or are they compressed requiring them to be stuffed with something to keep their shape? Thanks.

They don’t compress the holsters at all. It’s much better than stacking them in a tub.

My regularly used ones live on a belt on hangers in my reloading room. Ones not in use sit in a box on my desk. I keep those large wet ball pool toys in them so they can’t collapse. Only have about 20 or so. I keep a couple of blue trainer 1911s in my GI flap Wild Bunch holsters. I prefer Wolfs Ears holsters and have 4. Stan does a real sharp half flap.

I guess a visit to Amazon is in order. I keep my holsters in a plastic tub, mostly for lack of anywhere else to keep them. Never thought of shoe holders. Before I joined this forum I had only a couple holsters, now thanks to Crazyphil and others here, I have close to fifty and don't know what half of them fit! It is a sickness!

I did it! I purchased, through Amazon, two shoe hangers like above post, and today I got around to hanging one up and putting my most used holsters in it. I also tagged each holster to what fits into it. I have five that are the same maker with no identification on the back, each a pancake for a different revolver size. Finally had to fit a revolver into each and then tag it. The big tub is going to have to wait until the next gunshow in early December, as I am trying to sell them. Thanks for the recommendation for storage.
