I recently won a COBRA holster that I have not seen mentioned in this forum or any of my books about holsters. I fits on my SR1911 Ruger very well. It has slot for a belt to wear it on the waist band and has steel clip on the other side so the holster can be worn In the Waist Band.

I have a Cobra holster. It is unlined, left hand for a 3” J frame. This is the only one I have ever run across.

I saw a Cobra holster made just like you described in a pawn shop in Franklin, NC today. I believe it was for a 2.5” S&W K frame revolver. It was $15.00 I think.

Gee, I'd want a pic before saying much. The Cobra founder is the scion of the JayPee folk, JayPee for John Parlante who was the founder originally from Italy. Cobra's been around since the early '70s. I have it in mind that the grandson meant to take on Bianchi and Safariland, much as Paris Theodore meant to and failed at that very same time.

Thanks for the information. I was wondering about who made it and when. My example is well made but I doubt that it will be one of my favorites as I do not think the big steel spring clip on the outside of the holster will be what I want on a holster that I prefer to wear on the waist band with a belt.
