Default Anyone recognize this quality western fast draw rig?

My friend gave me this really nice rig recently. It is dirty and very dry. I'll take care of all that. Belt & metal lined holster marked "Yard Birds Shopping Center, Chehalis Wash., 3958, Single Six, 6 1/2". I figure it was made by a reputable holster company stamped for the business it was sold at which is or was a known practice. “Yard Bird” appears to still exist and was a big store that sold everything. Anything about it ring a bell? It's very well made. One person on another forum logically suggested Lawrence, which was close by in Oregon, of course.

Lawrence is a good bet. Note the similarity in the markings.

They used "B" to represent basketweave. Mine is a different model, but I had a Lawrence with snaps near the top of the backer that used leather laces to secure the holster body to it. I looked for it, but must have sold it as a show.

I’m away from my catalogs but I’m pretty sure it’s an A.E. Nelson made rig.
They made store brand holsters for a lot of Western US sporting goods and Gun stores.
Regards,

Regards,
You're right. I actually found two in the same gun store junk box and you told me they were A.E. Nelson holsters who are in Oregon, I think. Here's one I found marked The San Francisco Gun Exchange, a gun store I went to often as a kid. I sold it on this forum. Unlike the BM open front holster, this one had an internal wire all along the edges. Maybe to get around the BM spring patent?

It sure does not look Lawrence to me....in about any way. That attachment to the drop look looks like some Hunter rigs. Best wishes, Marc

I would say Viking-Mexico. I think they farmed out store brands, although not familiar with OPs brand. I would say quality is between Hunter and Lawrence. They made some nice holsters & rigs. Browning leather was Viking.
