CC clothing question
I'm neither svelte nor short. Finding clothing that fits has been a problem since I was a kid.
I usually CC an old Detonics Combat Master or, depending on what I'm wearing, a new-ish 340 PD. In both cases I'd prefer to be using a pocket holster. Except for the suit pants I hope to never wear again, all of my pockets are too small and open at the top, which makes any kind of reliable draw impossible.
So, is anyone aware of a brand of reasonably casual trousers with big, old-school pockets that open somewhere around 45 degrees from the vertical? Like grandpa used to bury his old 6" M&P in? I can make a holster that fits a giant pocket. Thanks!

I wear Lee Jeans and can pocket carry a Glock 19 (if I don’t sit down, LOL).

Hello Marine, I pocket carry a Model 60 Pro-Series in a Don Hume 001 pocket holster. They fit in my Carharrt jeans pocket, no patterning with easy drawing, re-holstering can be done.

Haven't tried them yet, but have been told Duluth Firehose Flex Cargo works great.

Double L Jeans from LL Bean have the largest and deepest pockets I know of. Not only do they work great for pocket carry, they are very comfortable, wear like iron and are truly great jeans! They are much much better quality than the jean brands we all grew up with! They have 3 different fits and I wear the Natural fit which is not as tapered as the classic jeans, but not as baggy as their Relaxed fit cut. They are extremely comfortable and have pockets large and deep enough that you can easily put a Sig P365, a SA Hellcat, a M36, M60 etc. in and actually still grab it with your entire hand to pull it out. If you have not tried them you should! I have posted this many time here of the Forum and hope some people have tried them.
If you buy them and don't like them, LL Bean will take them back and refund your money. BTW, their Flannel lined model is incredible if you live in a cold climate!

Some of the Wrangler jeans have deep pockets. I've also had my wife sew pocket extensions in for me with her machine.

Wrangler cargo pants have deep roomy pockets. They also make “khakis” with similar cut if cargo pants are a little to casual for you.

My EDC is a 340PD too and find that the brand name jeans have pockets deep enough to conceal. Costco jean pockets are not deep enough but an untucked T Shirt usually does the job.

I have. I like them. I pocket carry a G33 most days and they work great for that. I almost never wear anything but cargo pants, and various brands have worked well for me.

I wear a variety of different brands of jeans. I pocket carry my J-frame with ease in all of them.
If you want larger pockets try Tru-Fit pants or maybe 5-11s. I carry a larger pistol with ease in those pockets.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, all. I ordered a pair of the Duluth pants that are described as having very large, reinforced pockets and also have a 36" inseam.
If they work as well as I hope I'll get another pair or three.

That they do. I bought a couple of pairs recently and the pockets are generous in both size and opening.

These are the best for sure. You can about get a full size Glock in the darn pockets!!! The LL beans are junk in my opinion. They used to be good and went downhill- Like everything else, I guess.
Duluth is 25% off right now and free shipping.
I don't get ANY of the flex material type, but YMMV! I just do the regular relaxed fit-

Levi’s Signature. Your J frame in a decent pocket holster will disappear. Got me 638 in my pocket as we speak. It’s there from the time I get up until I go to bed. Try a Mika holster

Red Kap work pants have generously sized pockets. No problem carrying my 340 in the front pocket.

I like 5.11 cargo pants.
I know, I know... Apparently everyone on planet earth is somehow aware of the 5.11 brand as well as the fact that it's popular with law enforcement agencies and therefore the moment someone sees you wearing those pants they automatically know that you are armed.
But personally, I've yet to see anyone paying any particular attention to me based on the pants I'm wearing. Besides, I don't know if 5.11 pants used to be a lot more distinctive among other brands of cargo pants, but the ones I wear look like pretty much any other brand out there, and the only external tag is extremely small and can easily be removed, so... *shrugs*
At any rate, they're good pants with extremely deep pockets, so you might want to check them out.

All my front pockets can easily accommodate an LCP including my formal PJ bottoms.

Yeah only the tacticiool mall ninjas buy into that theory.
99.999% of people just don't have that level of situational awareness. They're too obsessed with their phones to even notice YOU, much less notice the brand of sportswear you're wearing.
Those with criminal intentions who are as observant as Shawn Specer or Mr. Monk is so small as to be statistically insignificant.
That is the least of my worries.
YMMV.
