Default Interesting vintage holster ID?

This has been kicking around for some time and resurfaced the other day, I wonder what it was for?

S&W single shot?

It has a stamp, looks like a star in the middle, *ing? and *oore? is all I can make out.

Thanks

I have NO idea what it is, but it's a neat looking holster/storage device.

Right? I'd like to have a sleeping bag with that interior!

I have one just like it. It is a Brauer Bros St Louis Moose Brand. Mine has large caps AC stamped on lower left of the rear area below the brand stamp. Faintly stamped immediately right of the AC are the numbers 0061/2. Mine has Brauer Bros stamped snaps unlike your worn brown ones.

Would like to know what gun it was designed for.

I wish someone still made holsters like that.

Default Holster

Nice holster. There appears to be a maker mark on the belt look that I cannot read or recognize. But I don't think it is a Brauer Bros. stamp.

A close up photo of the logo (right side up) might help. Try it with a flash too. Photos are often better than the naked eye.
