Default Handy As A Spare Pocket

If you're anything like me, you have all the pockets on your pants reserved for items you always carry. This can be problematic if/when you want to carry a reload or two for your revolver.

I recently came across this item and thought I'd give it a try for carrying items I didn't want to carry in my pants pockets.

Note: I have no affiliation with the vendors and no financial interest in the listed item.

After this pouch was delivered, I was pleased to discover that it was a perfect fit for two each HKS J-Frame Speedloaders, making for a nice accessory to my Model 31-1 that I have converted to .32 Magnum. It will also fit two Safariland Comp I J-Frame Speedloaders, and will also accomodate two each Safariland Comp II K-Frame Speedloaders. Unfortunately, it won't fit the Comp II L-Frame Speedloaders. If you want to, you can also just fit two Bianchi Speedstrips loaded with 6 EA. .38 Specials or .357s.

Here are some photos I took with the pouch loaded up with two each Safariland Comp II K-Frame Speedloaders.

If you decide to give one of these a try; please note that although they're unused, they were made about fifty years ago and the leather is a little dry and stiff. A couple of applications of leather conditioner made a huge difference on mine.

So why would anyone want one of these? They're cheap when compared to any current ammo carriers!

If they were marked as speedloader cases or ammunition carriers, they could charge more!

Nice price to be sure, but yours sure doesn't look to be in the same condition as the one pictured on Amazon.

I had exactly one each of this item, so that's the one I photographed. The vendor on the other hand probably had bunches and bunches of these pouches, and human nature being what it is, a very nice example was selected for the advertisement. That's my guess anyway.
