Default Different Bucheimer Clark stamps?

Can a knowledgeable person clarify what the different stamps were for Bucheimer Clark holsters? The ones I have seen have “Bucheimer Clark Valencia”, but I have also seen one with just “Bucheimer Clark”. Was “Valencia” removed at a later point or added? What vintage would the “Bucheimer Clark” logo be?

The mark you show is just the loose end of a tangle web that is the J.M. Bucheimer Co. It helps to realize that it and Clark Holster of Los Angeles were originally two different companies on opposite coasts. Your mark is from the very final era for the group that was 1980s and is for the subsidiary founded 1959 called Bucheimer-Clark.

The Bucheimer-Clark marked Los Angeles is until the company shifted to Valencia in 1967. J.M.B was acquired by Tandy two years later, in 1969, and B-C continued but no longer as a separate company (became Tandy's California DBA).

There are so many J.M.B. and B-C marks that we can be reasonably certain of the eras attached to them. Bucheimer Made is for J.M. Bucheimer Co. and began to appear when J.M.B. started into gunleather post WW2.

This forum only supports 5 images per post. There are lots more! For which I maintain a gunleather blog.

Default Who owned it in the 1980’s

Thanks for replying. I have seen your blog and some of your posts so it is great to get an authority on the topic helping me out.

Can you say who owned the company that would have used the mark I showed that you say is from the 1980’s? I have seen some heated posts about Bucheimer and I saw that Jerry Ardolino had some rights to Bucheimer. Would this have been someone separate from him?
