Default Found my ideal holster and it's a cross draw

I have tried a few inside the waist, hip ride and shoulder sling setups and have decided the cross draw fits my needs perfectly. It's unconventional to look at but it works perfectly. The revolver resides in an area that allows me to walk,bend,semi-run, sitting(chairs, bikes, horse etc) sit buckled in (cars) and still have full access to my weapon.

Ive been practicing various scenarios where I would need to get to my firearm and so far, this cross draw setup has not disappointed.

Made by Steel Hide and under $60 it seems to tick all the boxes.

A sidewinder for a Python. Seems to be a good match. . ( I have NO idea why the photos are sideways..but it is fitting..).

Been using a Bianchi 111 Cyclone cross draw for my "field holster" for decades.

You got to go with what works best for you. Why most of us have bins of like new holsters we never wear. You need to "buy and try".

I recently switched my back-up carry to a cross draw position. Much easier to access while driving.

Breakaway500, I hope my buddy crazyphil won’t mind me posting one of his pictures again. It is of his Ken Null VAM (Vampire) holster, and he showed it here a while back telling about how comfortable it was. I decided to take a chance on one for my S&W 642-2, and am very pleased. It is extremely well made and comfortable to boot.
Larry

BTW, haven’t heard from Phil in a while, and see he hasn’t posted in almost 4 months. I hop and pray all is well with him!

Nothing wrong with crossdraw- I especially like when carrying a slung rifle to avoid gun-to-gun clacking. Being left-handed, I also carried my Army M9 in crossdraw since the NBC mask occupied the strong side position on my LBV.

I have a Desantis Crossdraw for my Glock 42. It is very comfortable, but it is OWB none the less. It will work when I'm wearing a coat or riding a bicycle, but it makes me look fat when I'm just wearing a shirt.
Those VAM holsters are very enticing.

Nothing wrong with cross draw, except most competitions, classes, and commercial ranges prohibit their use for safety reasons. Had a few irate customers that wanted to draw from their favorite holster on a firing line.
