I got a Springfield Armory SA-35 Hi-Power a couple of months ago, and have been casting about for a good holster. I bought a Bianchi "Pistol Pocket" IWB holster for it, but wasn't completely satisfied as some mobility issues from a shoulder replacement surgery made it difficult to draw and re-holster. I have several El Paso Saddlery "Threepersons" style holster for revolvers I carry, and like the ease of drawing and re-holstering with this design. I live in a "Low Threat" environment, rural living, ATV riding, hiking, etc, so don't need any go fast holster like you might in an urban environment.

I ordered on El Paso's website a tan, right hand Threepersons for my Springfield SA-35 Hi-Power and received it in the mail exactly eight days later, unheard of speed for El Paso Saddlery. They must keep commonly ordered holsters in stock and ready to ship, in the past I have waited months for a holster from them. There was a price increase, two years ago they about $75, now $114. Pay for quality and you only cry once!

Here's some pics:

canoeguy - thanks for the photos! You may have solved my SA-35's holster dilemma for me! Don't know why I didn't think of El Paso's holsters before now (I own several for other handguns).

Good looking holster and pistol. I carry my HP in an old Bianchi 19L. I like it because the thump break strap is right for locked and cocked carry, and the trigger is covered

Good looking holster :-). And fast delivery too. FYI EPS is mistaken to call that a Threepersons; it is a Donihoo. The Threepersons for the 1911 looked like this, according to Myres which company both named and introduced the Threepersons in 1930:

The Donihoo was introduced circa 1960, and first commercialized by Wolfram which version was sold by both Colt's and by S&W:

I've come close to ordering the EPS Threepersons for an automatic several times, but didn't. Something like their 1920 with stitched closed toe made with the proper Threepersons cant is what I wanted. It seems odd their revolver Treepersons models have the closed toe, but the automatic does not.

Have that same style El Paso for my M1911's, except for them the retention strap fits on the rear of the slide, in front of the C&L hammer.
Great field holster.
