George Lawrence Holster
Hello,
Looking for some information on a George Lawrence Holster i just picked up. Appears to fit a 4” K-Frame just about right. I can’t find any information on it anywhere. Some insight is appreciated.
Thanks everyone.

Google "George Lawrence Holster Chart". Lots of info comes up. It's for a K Frame 4", plus some Colts. What else do you want to know?

Thanks for the reply. I just couldn’t find the model number anywhere online and wanted to make sure it was for what it was intended for. Any idea on age??

It was made after 1963 and before the late 1980’s or early ‘90’s. B indicates basketweave, C means chamois lined and S means it has a sewn in sight protector. The model 24 was Lawrence’s old standard model 25 holster with the snap-off belt feature. 526 size code calls out Colt Official Police, Marshal & Commando & S&W Combat Masterpiece revolvers, all with 4” barrels. You won’t wear it out although the chamois lining wears fairly easily.
Regards,

That is a beautiful holster, and obviously from the answers of the experts here you were right, along with some other guns. I have only one holster that is chamois lined, and the lining feels really nice, and will be very soft against the finish of your gun, as long as you don’t get sand in it. But, like turnerriver said, you have to be kinda careful with it. It’s easy for some front sights to snag and rip it. It’s in fantastic condition for its age! Thanks for sharing that beaut with us.
Larry

Thank you Larry. Definitely impressed with the quality and the way it fits my model 10 and 66’s.
I love the basket type weaving. Now, onto looking for the appropriate gun belt. Lol.
