Bianchi 13B mag pouch marked .45 / 9mm MAG. I assume this is for the #13 Scorpion rigs. Looks like it's for double column magazines but will it also work for single stack 1911 magazines. May be a loose fit but it doesn't look like they would fall out on their own.

I already have a 13C mag carrier but it is bulky and has the opening for the magazines on top which is a little awkward. It appears that the 13B could be put on horizontally with the openings to the front.

Your image states it is for 45 mags so: single column in Bianchi-ese. That pouch w/b by JB, the one intended for the Scorpio is by me.

Factoid: the Model 13 was originally called 'Scorpion' and a trademark holder (I recall Seventrees or his company heirs) objected. So JB said: I'll just take the 'n' off the stamps and it will be 'scorpio'. Which is every bit as notable for consumers because of the films. Lots of ways to skin a cat, eh?

Thanks Red;

I'll try both and see which I like better. The 13C you designed seems better made and more substantial, it just feels a little odd pulling the magazine. Maybe I don't have it adjusted correctly; I have it more or less hanging straight down with the openings at the top like I did the dump pouch in the one I have for a revolver. Or perhaps I need to hang the 13 C lower, I don't like it down at belt level.

Only the front magazine is meant to be drawn in a hurry; hell of a firefight you'll be in if you don't have time to move the rearmost mag into the front pouch after changing the first mag out!!

that makes perfect sense; I never thought of it that way.

I have the 13B in hand. Soft floppy leather as compared to the nice stiff saddle leather of the 13C. Made to fit a variety of magazines and while a double column would likely be a snug fit my single column 1911 9mm mags are OK in it. Looks like JB was trying to make it a universal carrier.
On the rare occasion that I would use a shoulder rig ( I only have one because I got it very cheaply) I'll try both carriers.

Thanks Red
