Hello all,

It's been quite a while since I've been on the forum and it's good to be back.

I recently bought a 3" 65-5 LS and I'm looking for a good carry holster. I have a Milt Sparks SS-2 IWB on order, but will be about 10 months. I'm open to either OWB or IWB.

Thanks.

I use a Galco Combat Master and Concealable for that same gun.

P.S. you should move your post to: Gun Leather and Carry Gear.

I recently purchased this holster for my 65-3 3". It is all leather and of heavy construction. Most of my other holsters are lighter duty, but typically cost $125.00 or more. This one was just shy of $55.00 tax included. It was purchased new from a local gun store. I believe black and brown are also available on the 1791 website. It also works well with my 66-4 2 1/2" and 64-3 3" shown in the photos.

Thanks, those are the three I was looking at. I use the MS PMK for my other revolvers but want something I can get quicker.

You should be able to get a DeSantis pretty quickly. They make a 3” K frame with thumb snap or open top. Your only problem will be the enclosed ejector rod on the LS. It will take a little massage work to the leather. I just ordered one for my 696 and got it in a week or so.

I carry my 3" 65 in a Sticky Holster (IWB) at 3:00 in complete comfort, and it never moves on me.

Re-holstering can be a bit slow, if you ever needed to do so, but it works for me very well.

As I have posted here many times before..... you need not look any farther than Kramer Leather for their Horsehide Belt Scabbard. I know of no better regardless of price. After 30 years of using their products I have sold, traded, given away or thrown out many others.

They are just made right. No snaps, straps, screws, velcro or adjustments. Simply incredibly well made, smooth, strong, excellent retention and will last a lifetime. I am in no way associated with Kramer - they don't even know who I am. I am just a very satisfied customer that has used their products for a long long time.

BTW, their gun belts and accessories are top notch as well and again, their Horsehide will last a lifetime...... and then some!

Having to wait 10 months on a holster is insane.

On their website they currently state 14-16 weeks (3 1/2 - 4 months). IMHO their products are well worth the wait and if they were not as great as they truly are, wait times would be 2 days! If you must carry that particular gun right away, then buy a cheap DeSantis or other mainstream brand for $40-$50 bucks to use in the interim. When it comes to protecting one's life, a few months is a small price to pay for the best! Of course this is just me - YMMV.
