Searching for a pancake-style holster for an N-frame with 3.5-inch barrel
Now that my 1917/1937 45 ACP revolver is "snubbied" and checks out as reliable, I'm ready to start carrying it. I'm in search of a pancake-style leather holster for an N-frame with a 3.5-inch barrel. I haven't been able to find one, so I thought I would reach out to the Forum to see if anyone had any thoughts. The Model 27 came in a 3.5-inch, so I would think holsters would be around. Thanks for the help!

Check MTR Custom Leather. They have N frames listed.
Their belt slide master carry shows a thumb break on the revolver holsters. It may be worth looking at for you. They do not list a 3.5, but a 2.5, 3, 4 inch and up to 7.5. Like the name says, they do custom work and support a lot of S&W models, so I check them first.

Thanks guys. I'm looking at Azula, Simply Rugged, and MTR now. I'll ask them about doing a 3.5-inch barrel holster.

Home | Rodek Leather Works
He usually delivers in a week. Heavy leather. He is the only employee and works out of his basement. None of the overhead of the large commercial makers.
Give Ed a call. He's easy to talk to and always willing to talk holsters.

Rob at Simply Rugged can set you up easily. I have one from a long time back for a 3 1/2 incher. And a Bunch more of his leather! He does exotics too, I have a 4 inch Nframe pancake made from pachyderm!

Rodek leather. I have several of his pancake holsters, from 2-4 inches. Wear one everyday, can't go wrong.

Masc leather. If they don’t have it I think they’ll make it. I just got a 3 slot pancake for a 2” K frame. Most others were all 2.5”. I didn’t want the extra 1/2” hanging down. Great holsters great prices. Free shipping

10-Ring Precision in San Antonio. Great folks to work with, and really fast turnaround.

Another chime-in for Kramer. Their Belt Scabbard or Vertical Belt Scabbard might give you what you’re looking for. I once had one crafted for a 3.5” Model 27.

This is a Lobo Gunleather pancake for a 4" N frame. They will make it to whatever barrel length you want. This holster took 10 weeks, as promised. It's my 4th Lobo, the first two dated when Ray ran the shop. Excellent, rugged, good looking holster at reasonable price. Conceals very well.
