Default WTS/WTT Mod 17-2 (SPF) and Mod 36-7 (available)

Model 17-2, K635548 (1965). All matching with sight adjustment tool, cleaning rod, nylon brush, and some papers. Box is from correct era, but has no sticker. When I bought this from forum member Wordsmith, he said there was no reason not to think the box was original to the gun.

Timing and lockup are excellent. Wordsmith rated this at 97% when I bought it, and I have since fired about 1000 rounds through it, but not put it in a holster. When I bought it there was the smallest amount of holster wear at the muzzle, a turn line, normal wear inside the recoil shield and the extractor rod, and light handling marks. The handling marks are exaggerated in the close-up photos; most of them I hadn’t even noticed before I saw the pictures. I’m selling this because I happened across a lower grade 1953 K22 for shooting. (I will be selling the Herrett’s stocks that came on my K22 on the accessories page in the coming days.)

17-2 SPF TO Arman4461. Now $650 plus shipping. Was $675 plus shipping.

Model 36-7, BPS6840 (1994, I think). All matching, no box or papers.

Lock up and timing are excellent. I think the pictures show any finish issues, but the places I can notice are the turn line, normal wear inside recoil shield and (barely) on the extractor rod, and a spot of finish on the underside of the topstrap. This gun was apparently shot very little and not carried, and extremely well cared for. I bought this to replace my 642 for carry, but it turned out I like the 642 better.

Now $375 plus shipping. Was $400 plus shipping.

Shipping from FFL to FFL, except AK, HI, CA. USPS money order only. 3 day non-firing, non-disassembly inspection; return shipping by buyer.

I can take more pictures if there’s something else you’d like to see.

First I’ll take it here followed by PM gets the gun in question.

I’d consider trading on an all matching higher shooter-grade Pre-27 with 5” or 3.5” barrel, plus cash one way or the other, depending on condition, etc.

I have feedback here: AAA+ for donaldw870 and all positive feedback on eBay under donaldw870.

Thanks for looking.

Donald

Bump for the weekend with price drops. I really can't do better than these prices without losses I can't swallow at this time. I have an essentially unused brown leather belt holster that I can throw in with the 36 at the new price. Both are really solid guns.

Sorry I haven't gotten to posting the grips mentioned in connection with the 17, but PM me if interested and I'll send pics.

As far as trade interests, I'd consider a 4" M&P in 38 spl., blued. Open to age and condition as long as mechanicals are sound.

Thanks for looking,
Donald
