This was purchased for a project, but plans have changed. Locks up very tightly, barrel is great, but finish is a bit challenged. I already have one so no reason to hang onto this.

Not at home, and I realized I didn't include a picture of the grips. I'll post another with the grips installed. They're normal S&W wooden grips.

Would it be possible to get close-up pics of the damaged finish areas? Is there serious pitting?

No problem. When I get home I'll send some. You aren't going to be able to buff them out in my opinion.

I've put a serious buff an polish on some pitted guns then cover with a scroll engraving pattern for really great results.
