In 2001 Lew Horton and the Smith & Wesson Performance Center issued a limited production run of the Heritage Series Model 15-8 in 38 Special. What sets this gun apart from most others in the series is that the frame is case colored by Doug Turnbull. The barrel and cylinder are deeply and richly blued. The K-frame Model 15 is known as the Combat Masterpiece and this one has a round butt and 4” barrel. It also has an adjustable micrometer rear sight. The Performance Center logo is visible on the left side of the frame beneath the thumbpiece.
I don’t believe the gun has been shot but if so, very little. Comes in the original box, with owners manual, S&W preservative paper, and trigger lock. Smith & Wesson has produced a number of models utilizing a case colored frame but very few were done by Doug Turnbull. This is a rare and very collectable revolver. Don’t miss out on your chance to own it.
