Default ***SPT***S&W 657 no (-) 6” - NE OH FTF Only

FTF NE Ohio only - please. Sold Pending Trade.

Selling my S&W Model 657 Distinguished .41 Magnum, (no dash c. 1986) 6” Bbl. Revolver is in great shape. Bore is very clean, barrel straight as an arrow, both cylinder and timing nice and tight. Grips are in great shape too. No Box, but gun rug. Papers only include Parts list/Instructions pamphlet and Ammo chart. Model # is not stamped on gun, they forgot to stamp it “657”. (Yes I know where to look!. Confirmed with S&W CS it's a NO DASH 657)

Thought I would like a 6” revolver, but soon realized I would rather have 4” or less, so getting rid of this one to make room for a snub .41 if I can find one, or....

I will consider trades of equal or lesser value if in good shape and have 3" or less barrel. Like, 29/629 snub, 57/657 Snub, 686+ snub, 24/624 snub, 25/625 snub, 27/627 snub.

All laws, forum rules and common sense apply. 1st posted "I'll take it" followed by PM takes it.

Is there some sort of scratch on the front of the cylinder at the edge of one of the chambers?

I had to bust it out of the safe to check what you meant. I think I know what "scratch" you see in the pic. Sometimes the light does funny things when you take a picture, and makes surface finish imperfections pop out.

Looks like a combo of factory tool marks and cleaning blemishes on the face of the cylinder, like many Smith's I've seen, nothing unusual and nothing that would in any way interfere with the bullets exit strategy. Sure it could be buffed out to perfection.

But, if you are looking for a 99+% gun, then I can't make that claim.
