Up for sale only is my 99% + condition Model 617 No Dash with a 4-inch barrel. There is one small rub on the matte-finished portion of the top strap, which is difficult to see except in strong, direct light. There is a very slight turn line on the cylinder. The original factory combat stocks are perfect. The gun appears as new.
Unlike any others you may have seen advertised, this one has had a complete action and accuracy job by Alex Hamilton of Ten-Ring Precision in San Antonio. Alex did a masterful job on the action, including recrowning the muzzle, re-cutting the forcing cone to 11º, honing and lightening the action, checking the throats of the charge holes to assure that each is .224 in diameter, checking for end-float and over-travel (both OK), installing a 12 pound rebound slide spring, and shortening two of the ratchets to assure proper timing and lock-up. Each of the charge holes has been separately numbered on the back of the cylinder. The result is a revolver with an exceptionally smooth double-action that does not disturb the front sight when the trigger is actuated, and a perfectly crisp 2.5 pound single action.
I have some of the original papers that came with the revolver and I will send along Alex Hamilton's invoice for the action/accuracy job, but I do not have the original box or tool kit.
The price for this difficult to find, exceptionally accurate .22 has been reduced from $1,750.00 plus shipping to $1650.00, delivered. This revolver is also being advertised locally and will not be available for very long. I also have eight new, unused HKS speedloaders and a Speed Beez loading block which the buyer may purchase at a modest additional cost. I will not separate the original stocks from the revolver.
