Longtime lurker, infrequent poster, selling my custom Remington 870 from JD McGuire of AI&P Tactical for $550 plus shipping from Michigan. Payment via USPS check or bank money order/certified check. I would be open to trading for a Smith and Wesson revolver in 22lr, 45 acp, 45 Colt, or 10mm.

I shot the 870 6 times when I picked it up at his shop back in 2016. Haven't shot it since. This shotgun is based on his Tactical III package and described below. He is no longer doing custom work, but is still in operation.

There are three things that make this shotgun in less than perfect condition. One is two holes in the butt stock where I had an adjustable butt plate installed. This is no longer on the shotgun and the slip on Pachmayr pad hides these holes. The other is some stripping of the knurling on the magazine cap. I had to use Channel locks to loosen it one time, and didn't have enough padding to prevent marks. The knurling marks are very minor. I put some Ortho-Blue on them and covered most of the visible marks, which were hardly noticeable anyway. The last thing of note is a little glue mark JD accidentally put on the barrel when securing the front sight insert. We had been talking a long time and he just made a mistake right before I was going to leave. I didn't mention it as I should at the time. Also include are two stock bolts and hardware to attach a traditional stock if you wish. I thought I lost the original and just recently ordered another. If you want, I can send picts with my username or some other object per your request to confirm the legitimacy of this sale.

Below is a description of the work JD did as listed on his old web site, with a few points of clarification/additions of my own:

This weapon is built from all factory new parts and accessories. Remington 870 magnum receiver is bead blasted and parkerized black with heavy zinc parkerizing. The Trigger assembly is upgraded with the same heavy carrier dog follower spring as found in the Remington 870 Police. I install an 870 Police Breech bolt. The barrel is an 18.5" Remington 870 police barrel with Meprolight tritium rifle sights and fixed IC choke. This is the best all around choke and works well with Flight Control or regular ammo. I install a Wilson Combat over-size safety. I install a Wilson combat 2 shot extension to give this weapon a 6+1 capacity. To ensure the best feed I install an SBE Tactical Follower. The forend is a Remington OEM Law Enforcement forend. I install a Mesa Tactical LEO recoil reducing stock with Hydraulic buffer to eat up 70% of felt recoil. This stock is fully adjustable to different LOPs. To further enhance the felt recoil reduction and comfort I install a Pachmayr M4 recoil pad. The stock grip is a Hogue, however any AR style grip fits this stock.
