*SPF to George* KCPD Registered Magnum
KCPD Registered Magnum , REG 5125, Serial no. 59707. Nice pre war Magna grips, which are un-numbered. It was ordered in a block of 250 guns on July 25, 1939. I do not have a Jinks letter, but the gun can easily be identified by the serial number range and the “Hump Back” hammer, 4” barrel length and Baughman quick draw front sight. I urge you to read Terry Lester’s voluminous post regarding identification of these guns. (This gun is #71 on p.2. of his post.) The post has pictures of surviving guns, discusses serial number ranges, etc.. The gun has been refinished. It has a 10 6 51 stamp on the grip frame. Most of the KCPD guns that I have seen were refinished to to the standards on this gun. They were used hard in service, refinished & used again (& maybe refinished and used after that). $3,500 shipped.
I am traveling & will not be able to send the gun till April
26.
