Hi, all!
The economic downturn has resulted in my being laid off from my job, and tragically this places me in the position of being forced to sell a number of my firearms, including a number of very nice shooter-grade S&Ws. Photos are available upon request; prices do not include shipping. First "I'll Take it!" gets it.
1. Original S&W model 58 .41 Magnum. Practically new condition in the original blue cardboard box. Narrow, serrated trigger, and narrow hammer. Asking $900. - SOLD
2. S&W 625 Mountain Gun .45 Colt. Custom revolver with old-style action (firing pin on hammer)with bobbed hammer, tuned trigger, custom sights, and cylinder modified by TK Custom to utilize special full moon clips for the .45 Colt (not ACP). No box or papers, but custom moon clips are included. Asking $650.
3. S&W 25-5 .45 Colt. 4-inch pinned barrel, bluing is in great condition. Bobbed hammer, slimmed and polished trigger and action job, with presentation grade Craig Spegel extended boot grips. Asking $700. SOLD
4. S&W 10-6 .357 Magnum. 4-inch pinned barrel and recessed chambers. Factory lettered as one of the very rare pre-model 13s sold to the NY State Police in the middle 1970's. Mechanically flawless with good timing and lockup, but lots of holster wear as one would expect from a police duty sidearm. Asking $550. - SOLD
5. S&W 629-2 Mountain Gun .44 Mag. One of the earliest Mountain Guns; old-style action, no laser engraving, but actual factory stampings for manufacturer and caliber on barrel. "Mountain Gun" does not appear on this weapon. Very nice smooth trigger. Asking $650. - SOLD
6. S&W Pre-War Military & Police .38 Special. 2-inch barreled snub-nose pre-model 10 with round butt. Absolutely the cleanest and most pristine M&P I've ever seen. Looks brand new, straight out of the factory box. Factory grips look brand new, yet are serial-numbered to the gun. Words don't do it justice. Asking $600. - SOLD
7. S&W 1917 Hand Ejector .45 ACP. United States Property-marked revolver with 5.5-inch barrel and blued finish. Original grips. Includes original half-moon clip pouch and a replica of the US Military holster. Asking $800. - SOLD
8. S&W 1076 10mm. Very nice, accurate 10mm. Magazine disconnect has been removed. Very smooth trigger. Lots of carry wear, but mechanically flawless and 100% reliable. Comes with 6 factory magazines. Asking $575. - SOLD.
Non-S&W:
9. Detonics CombatMaster .45. Parkerized finish with plain wood grips. Very early production form when Detonics was based in Washington. Asking $600.
10. Argentinian M95 9mm. Argentinian-made Browning Hi-Power with shortened Commander-length slide. Ambi-safeties and mag disconnect intact. Very nice black polymer finish. Original box and Craig Spegel Cocobolo grip panels. Comes with 1 13-rd. magazine. Asking $400.
You'll note I've removed the HK P7s from the list, as I've decided to hang onto them for now.

Hi.
I'm seriously interested in No. 9, the P7M13, and maybe No. 10, the P7M8. Please send photos of the guns to me at the address listed in my profile.
Thanks!

That's not a newbie question at all! It's not a real common set-up.
No, you don't need the clips to fire .45 Colt out of this revolver, the extractor star works as normal and the gun can still be loaded in the conventional way singly or with speedloaders. The custom moonclips that come with this gun simply speed up loading for competition and defense.

I'm sorry, but #3 (the 25-5 in .45 Colt) sold this weekend.
Andrew Manson of Mountaindog Gunsmithing in Chama, NM did the work on that gun, and on several other revolvers I own. He actually was quite good on S&W DA revolver actions; but tragically he passed away this last year.
