On offer, an excellent Star Modelo B chambered in 9x19mm purchased in 1951 by the state police in Lower Saxony (LPN) in West Germany.





After the Allies reconstituted the civilian police forces in occupied Germany, they were originally armed with surplus military small arms like S&W Victorys, 1911s, M1 carbines, etc. when the forces were made independent they decided to purchase new arms. One source for handguns was Star in Spain. This pistol is one of them. Excellent original condition, and includes two unmatched magazines and an original but unmatched LPN holster. Definitely carried much but shot little, as is the case with many of these ‘Polizeipistolen’.

This is not one of your typical run-of-the-mill Star Bs that have flooded the surplus market in recent years. This pistol is collectible, has provenance, has a history, and is a complete police rig. As such, it has higher value than the other Bs and BMs out there.

I am asking $750 for this rig, but will entertain serious offers. I prefer local sale but will ship on the buyer’s dime. I have my C&R so a direct transaction with another C&R is doable. Payment by cash, USPS MO, Zelle or Venmo, or discrete PayPal f/f in a pinch.
