  • Account Recovery: If you’ve lost access to your account, try resetting your password here: Lost Password Form. If you cannot reset it, we’re unable to help recover the account.
  • Classified Disputes: Smith-Wesson Forums does not mediate or get involved in buying/selling disputes.
  • Spam or VPN Bans: If you're banned for spam, try turning off your VPN and registering with a different email.
  • Moderation: If your post is waiting for approval, please be patient.

💬 How to Use Direct Messages (formerly Private Messages)

Key Guidelines:

  • Do not post personal contact info (emails, phone numbers)
  • Avoid risky payment methods (e.g., PayPal F&F, Venmo, Zelle)

  • Report suspicious users immediately

✏️ Post Editing Time Limits

To maintain the integrity of our discussions and marketplace, we limit how long posts can be edited after they are made:

  • Non-members: 48 hours
  • Bronze & Silver Members: 7 days
  • Gold & Platinum Members: 14 days

If you need to make changes after the window has passed, please use the Report button on your post and a moderator can assist.

💳 How can I cancel my premium membership?

Premium memberships help keep the site running and ad-light for everyone.

All paid memberships renew annually until cancelled.

If you paid via PayPal, follow these steps:

  1. Log in at PayPal.com
  2. Go to Settings > Payments > Automatic payments
  3. Find the merchant for Smith-Wesson Forum and cancel

If you paid via Stripe (card), manage it here: Manage Membership

If paid by check, there is no auto-renewal. You’ll need to manually renew.

💵 Can I mail a check for membership?

Yes. Contact us first to confirm your membership level and amount due.
