New toy 'really!'
This was a gift from my Wife a couple months ago and it has proved to be both fun and useful. Fun to 'bang' away with in the yard and useful to keep the neighbors dogs out of the yard, also keeps the bird feeders free of squirrels.
I can't shoot the real things without much-ado from both neighbors and the police, but this passes the time.
Made by some unpronouncable Chi-Com company it is a licsensed copy of a WWII AutoOrdnance Thompson, the weight and feel are incredibly convincing. Fires 6mm bb's at a rate of 700 or so a minute. Fires both semi and full auto.
Would love to have the real McCoy, but till those lottery numbers hit I'll have fun with this:

RD - that is pretty cool. This is my new "toy" also. It doesn't shoot anything though - it's an old movie prop made of wood.

That is very cool, and a great way to keep annoying critters out of a city yard.

You need stock in the BB company.

Looks like a lot of fun. Can you advise where to obtain one?

It might be this? Runs on an electric, rechargeable battery. It's on sale also.
I've shot guns similar to this one, they are fun.
Go to "electric guns", then under the small "white" box scroll down to Thompson type. (These electric guns come in all types of models.)

New toy
That is pretty nice. I was at Gander Mountain yesterday and they had a section of about 6 or 7 guns/toys like this. They had a copy of the Thompson, some AR15 M4, AK74 with side folding stock, and a MP40 German Machine gun from WWII. They looked pretty real.

When you say "bbs" do you mean real bbs or the airsoft pellets?
Are there models for each type of ammo? I visited the website but only saw "airsoft".

Yes, by comparing photos I conclude that this is exactly the gun the OP has. Very high "cool" factor, but not very easy on the budget. $200 for the gun (on sale!), $9 for shipping, $5 for some lube, $18 for BBs (3K or 4K depending on size), $30 for a battery charger, $35 if you want a gun case. I'm not so sure I want to pay this much when I have a single shot Daisy pellet pistol that only requires one pump to do the same job.
