Heat
.....is on. Probably the greatest shootout of all time is in this movie. DeNiro, Pacino, Kilmner, and too many other great actors to list. Things are just starting to heat up!

I loved the bank robbery aftermath. Thousands of rounds fired.

Don't get me wrong. I love the movie. Butt any PD that would take on 3-4 heavily armed badguys in the middle of town would be nuts.

Yeah, I have to say it's pure Hollywood, greatly removed from reality. But if you want to see cops and bank robbers blazing away at each other full-auto with lots of hapless civilians caught in the crossfire, then this is for you.

To me, Pacino and DeNiro are two of the best actors to ever grace the silver screen. The scene in the coffee shop with the two of them face to face sharing a coffee, the BG and the cop, was just acting at its best IMO.

The shoot out was okay, but I liked the scene where Pacino's wife put the flowers in the vase..they were so pretty.

I watched it and thought it was pretty good.it sure left some unanswered questions like where did DeNiro's girl go after the end?did Pacino ever figure out who DeNiro really was?
the shootout sure reminded me of the Hollywood shootout except the lack of bodyarmor.Seems that there was a stink about that when it was realesed.IIRC
Anyhow thanks for the headsup WG840.

Great movie, primarily because of the superb acting of DeNiro and Pacino. As a side not, I have one of the M16's used in the shootout, I'm 99% sure it was the one Val Kilmer used, but the documentation isn't specific.

I too have watched many times. My second favorite "shootout" is the one toward the end of "Open Range".
