Some Unusual Trail Camera Photos
I put one of my trail cameras on a deer carcass just to see what kind of critters
would show up. We were surprised at the number of deer that came in checking
it out and the number of Hawks and Owls. We got over 500 pictures in just a few days
Here are a few of the best. More are posted here on the forum of my website
under critter Camera:

One of the best trail camera pictures I have ever gotten.
The Hawk is chasing the vulture away from dinner
Two Hawks coming in for dinner
Time to leave
Vulture arriving for dinner
First Great Horned Owl Picture I have gotten.
A nice final shot

I use the Moultrie D-40 with the flash turned on. I have 3 of them out and they do not seem to bother the deer at all. I got one a couple of years ago to see if I would like trail cameras with thoughts of getting one of the “high end” cameras if I liked it, but the results were so good I just got a couple more of the D-40’s. Besides I would rather loose a $69.00 camera to thieves than a $500.00 one. I’m now in the process of putting a wireless video camera system together with plans of streaming it to my website real-time 24/7.

Nice pics.
I bought a Stealth Cam on sale. I think it was a discontinued model. What a ***. Very unhappy with the performance. Slow trigger, almost all the picures have nothing in them or the tail end of whatever, skunk, cat...
I even placed a dead squirrel in front of it and I presume a coyote took the bait and nothing in the picture.
I might have to look into the inexpensive Moultrie D-40 .
Thanks for the report.

I'm using the Moultrie D-40 also. I wanted an inexpensive ($99) camera for my first one, and it has worked well except for the time I faced it into the setting sun, which didn't work out very well
Here are 3 photos from last night:
Interesting to note the fleeing deer followed in the next frame by the coyote!

I'm surprised no one else has commented on it, but the picture of the owl is really cool-my favorite by far!!!

A fellow that hunts the same ground I do had his deer feeders and 2 game cameras stolen. My feeder got blasted with a shotgun!
I think some renegade quail hunters hit our hunting lease!
Keep your cameras hid good.

I brought mine back from OK as hunting season was fixing
to kick in and I didn't want it to runnoft.. :/
I've heard of a boatload of feeders that walked off this year.
I don't see many owls, but I hear them all the time. I heard one
this last time I was there hooting away one night.
