Red dot recommendations
Looking for a light, durable red dot to mount on either a FA 454 Casull or 500 Magnum. Thanks

I'd take a close look at the Aimpoint Micro...

I had a used blue ULTRA DOT on my stainless Redhawk 44 mag for years and I’m sure over a thousand rounds. Last year I bought a stainless for the Redhawk and put the blue one on my M25. Never had to re zero or do anything to either one of them other than batteries.
I'm going to have to update my photo's but use your imagination for now.

You didn’t say anything about cheap, but I agree that the Aimpoint Micro H-1 is absolutely first class. Quite rugged as well, it’s my favorite red dot. You will be hard pressed to find one for much less than $500.
A little bit heavier and a heck of a lot more stout is the EO Tech 511, you will see these on battle rifles in lots of pictures. Too much for a target pistol, but I think great for hunting (man or beast), and it will not break any time soon. I have one on a 10/22 where it’s overkill.
