Does anybody know 'fer sure' how to prnounce the name of the powder company? Is that 'G' soft (gee-whiz), or hard (Golly)? Inquiring minds want to know.

If I were still a betting man, I'd be willing to bet that it's soft -too difficult to pronounce otherwise.

I've met Mr. Hodgdon (Jr., I think).
