Thanks for posting. I love that stuff; I can't imagine how many hours of practice it must take to get it down that smooth.

I loved the "Movement for Morricone!" And the M1 Garands, truly rifles fit for a King's Guard.

Pretty damn good! Interesting that they are using M1 Garand rifles. I'd sure like to see a "drill-off" between them and the USMC silent drill team - that would be something to see!

NCTexan, that was fantastic! Thanks for posting that link. I think I'm gonna run out and buy new strings for my ancient tenor guitar and tune it like a ukelele.
Oh, yeah, the Norwegian guys were pretty good, too!

+1 on that! I knew guys that were at 8th and Eye on on the silent drill team many moons ago. The hours of practice with M1 rifles was mindboggling even by military standards.

Sorry for waking up a stone-dead thread, but I'd like to add that these HMKG-men are conscripts with a total of 12 moths service, including 3 months boot-camp, so obviously there's quite a lot of hours spendt on drill-practice for these guys.
Each of them are issued 2 M1 Garand's, one severly beaten-up for practice, and one polished for drill/parade.
They cooperate with the HMKG Signals-platoon (drums&horns) and the HMKG Marching band.
The rest of the HMKG are issued standard G3 og HK 416 assault rifles, and those boys are not for show only.
All of HMKG are obsessed with shining their boots, and by the end of their service they rub away the "spit-shine" with abrassive so the next in their boots will have to start from scratch.

That wouldn't be fair to the other guys.

As for drumlines, some of the best stuff is seen (heard) behind the scenes during practice:
