Default The Wife's Present this year...

I commissioned this piece of fantasy. A reclusive folk artist up here in the willy-wags of Maine did it for me. She and her husband have become friends of mine. They are the couple that really supported my recreation work with long hunting in the 1700's period of Maine...

Anyrate, she only produces a few pieces a year and normally you'd be on a few year wait. My wife visited with the old couple and saw many of the pieces that she's done over a long period of years. The woman took a shine to my wife....and she was willing to do a tree house for her...

Over 1000 pieces and parts....it stands 2 feet tall and 18" in diameter. The roof is removable and it has a finished interior.

7 months later, it's done...

Barb, thanks...

There is so much detail in this project that it's hard to take in...

Here's the interior of that outhouse...love the mouse tearing up the toilet paper...

Very Cool Giz - I like the Outhouse too.

As a kid, I remember Disney's Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse. Always thought it would be a neat place to live when I grew up

Great gift! You can see the love and the thought that was put into making that piece! I'm sure Mrs. Giz will be thrilled!

That is really neat! This lady has phenomenal talent. It makes what I gave my lady look like trash, which it was-a new ax with her initials carved in the handle.

Sir, you gave her an ax? Are you sure that's wise? You know, Lizzie Borden and all that?

Semper Fi,

Ron H.

Those folks must love their work Giz.
And it quite obvious your bride adores you!
Congratulations! That thing is a real piece of "one of" artistry!
CONGRATS AGAIN!
