Perfect! I miss scenes like that, although the shoveling I can do without.

Beautiful, especially with Old Glory standing proud in the midst of mother nature's winter splendor.

Fantastic shot, roundgunner. That is why I love northern winters. I can deal with hazards, extra work, etc. just to be able to see sights like that.

I would offer a chuckle from the sunny South, except that we had 2 feet of that white stuff a couple of weeks ago that still hasn't melted completely. Please try to keep it in CT.

That is a very pretty picture.

I left snow country twenty six years ago. I really enjoyed ice fishing, snow mobiles, cutting wood in the snow, and didn't even mind shoveling the stuff. It was beautiful to look, but I never got used to paying the heat bills. Now as dumb as it sounds I don't mind A/C bills one bit.

Roundgunner: I grew up in Sherman, a little north of Danbury, on the western part of the state.

This is looking out my front kitchen window at my closest neighbor. The water is an old drinking water reservoir from the textile mill days. It is very clean with trout and bass. I think you could probably still drink it in a pinch. We live in eastern Connecticut between Norwich and Willimantic. I love it here. Snowman I grew up in NW Ohio. Oregon,Ohio. That is home but to me this is like heaven!
