What's ironic is that if he were running for the Senate in Georgia I would oppose him with every fiber of my being. I hope he wins in Mass, though. I guess it is all a matter of degree and of perspective.

I certainly understand that. I think Brown stands between Zell Miller and Sam Nunn, both rational, moderate democrats from Georgia. Yet he is miles to right of Cokely and most of the democrats of today.
I am so tired of hearing the left complain about the extreme right -- it is not the republican party that has been taken over by the extreme. Hell, JFK was more conservative (politically and fiscally) than GWB. I wish the democrats would wake up and take their party back.
