Default How not to do business

So, I was shopping online for something I wanted. Not alot of places to get it and mostly out of stock. Found a place that had what I wanted in stock. Never heard of them before, but thought I'd give it a go anyway. Tried to order and my payment was declined. Strange. Try again. Same thing. Oh well, guess I won't be getting anything from these guys. Frustrating, but oh well. Couple of days go by and I check my bank account. Seems a little high. Look at the transactions and there are two deposits in my account from the place I tried to order from for $77 a piece. So, now, not only did I waste my time browsing and ordering on their site, but now I have to take the time to call the bank and get it all straightened out. So, first impression is the last. Not that they were extremely bad, and so far, they're the only ones out money, but if you can't keep track of it better than that, I don't want you to be doing anything with my money.

I think it is the new Harvard Business School Model, pay people for not buying your product!

My best guess is the product you want is out of stock, but their lack of IT skills cant correct their webaite! and it goes downhill from there!

Hey, it might get better yet...Don't be surprised if two of what ever it was you were trying to order show up on your door step in the next week...

I once ordered a $200.00 scope, and when it came, I thought the shipping box looked a little large. When I opened it, the scope I ordered was there, along with another, fairly more expensive scope from the same manufacturer. Contacted the retailer and told them the issue, and requested a shipping label to return it. Never got it, so tried again, with the same results. Been about three years now, so I guess it aint coming. That scope now sits on a buddies .243 rifle.

I recently ordered some gun parts on line.
I received the order in two days. The next day I got a duplicate package.
I contacted owner and two “good old boys” from Wyoming worked it out. I put return to sender on the package, it was back to him in two days.

Better watch your bank account carefully. They could have made a deposit to make sure valid account and then might do a withdrawal ….

I ordered a home weather station and asked for 2 of them to be sent, one for me and one for my sister. A few days later, five large boxes arrived, each containing four of the home weather stations, a total of 20 had arrived. I checked my credit card and discovered that I had been charged for only the 2 I had ordered. I called the company and was told by some snotty customer service gal that the company wouldn't make a mistake like sending 20 items when 2 were ordered. I said OK and thanked her. Over the next few months I made several hundreds of dollars on eBay selling the 18 brand new home weather stations I was never shipped!

A lot of folks wouldn’t complain, they’d just order 100 more!

Well, after 2 calls and a visit to my branch, my bank can't even see the extra money. Even when I show them the math, they refuse to see it. So after 30 minutes of hold time, and 30 minutes of drive time, plus 30 minutes of talking to bankers who can't do simple addition and subtraction, I'm calling it even and accepting the $154 as compensation for my time. I have never had this much trouble giving money back.

So you are saying they SENT you $77 each for two items you tried to order but were refused? Tell me the web site - I'll order a thousand things from them under those terms!

My son had a really expensive big name foam mattress. It failed to live up to their guarantee and they sent him a check under their warranty.

He ordered a new one (different brand) online from Walmart. He changed his mind and ordered a different one from another vendor. About a week later they both showed up.

He tried to return it, but just couldn't get anybody to respond to phone calls/emails. He couldn't use two. Since we had a queen and this was a king he gave it to us. We haven't gotten around to using it because the queen fits our room better and we are very happy with it.

So now we have a brand new $1,000 memory foam mattress in a box in the hall closet. It'll get used someway, somehow, someday by somebody.
